This dawah dinner will give your non-Muslim guest an opportunity to meet other Muslims, observe prayer, and learn about Islam. Starting this Friday, August 13th Jamaat Ibad Ar-Rahman will hold two shifts for Jumu'ah. The first shift will be held at 12:00pm and the second shift will begin at 1:00pm. We encourage our regular daily jamaat to attend the 12:00pm shift for the first week. The reason for the change is to make parking easier for all of us. Therefore we request that people quickly depart after the first shift so people coming to the second shift do not run into a congesetion.
During Ramadan we will have our daily Taraweeh prayers about 10 minutes after Ishaa. We will pray 8 rakats and then witr. Between the first 4 rakats and the second 4 rakats there will be a short khatira given by Imam Amr. There will also be Hadith classes focusing on Ramadan after Fajr every morning
Every Saturday we will have a community iftar for the entire community. These are great opportunities to meet your brothers and sisters in Islam. We generally have around 200 people attending these iftars. In addition there will also be smaller daily iftars everyday at the Masjid. If you would like to sponsor one of these iftars, please sign up in the Masjid lobby.
Dates are availble for sale during Jumu'ah and any other day of the week at the Masjid. The cost is $30 for 5 lbs. We also are looking for volunteers to take care of the children during the Taraweeh prayers so they will not be playing and talking during Salat. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Br.
