Welcome to Al-Misbah Qur’an Academy. And welcome to a new semester! It is my pleasure to inform you that Al-misbah school’s fall semester will start on August 13th at 10:30am at Parkwood Masjid, insha Allah. This semester is going to be very exciting! We are introducing two new curricula: Maktab syllabus and Al-Tarbi’ah program. The ‘Maktab syllabus’ is designed for elementary students: 5 to 10 years old.
The purpose of this curriculum is to teach basic recitation of Qur’an with proper tajweed, Islamic studies and Arabic language. The ‘Maktab’ is a comprehensive curriculum-the Islamic studies and the Arabic language sections contain good moral lessons with engaging content that stimulates the child’s imagination, nurture intellectual growth, and strengthen his/her Arabic language skills. Needless to say, our teachers are dedicated, and are looking forward to teaching this new syllabus. We are hoping to receive 100 copies of the Maktab syllabus within the next week, insha Allah. We ask all the parents to purchase the text book by August 13th.
The Tarbiah program is designed for middle/high school students. This Tarbiah is essential to solidify the students’ understanding of Islamic beliefs . Our goal, in this tarbiah, is to provide a basic understanding of the deen. We don’t expect everyone to memorize the Qur’an, but we certainly wish that everyone receives the basics of the deen. In the fall semester , we will focus on three areas of tarbiyah: Aqeeda, Akhlaq and Seerah of the prophet. Each student will be assessed on various aspects of the topic that we cover, once a week. We sincerely hope that you take this program seriously-we expect students to come prepared every day with a daily planner, with a calendar and space to write down assignments.
In conclusion, our goal is to produce children of taqwa and Tarbiah.
Let us all work together to achieve that goal.
